By placing an order with Meroda cosmetics (“Meroda”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for products which are sold on the Site (“Products”) you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and, if you are unhappy with any aspect of these, then you should contact one of our customer service advisors before placing an order with us.

We amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Please look at the top of these Terms and Conditions to see when these Terms and Conditions were last updated. Every time you order Products from us, the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of your order will apply to the contract between you and us. If we have to revise these Terms and Conditions and this has a material impact on your order, we will contact you to give you reasonable advance notice of the changes and let you know how to cancel the contract if you are not happy with the changes.

The website is operated by Meroda Cosmetics B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands.

By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms, our Returns & Refund Policy, our Product Satisfaction Guarantee, or any Customer Support communication limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, misdescribed, or undelivered products.

You agree not to use the website for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws and regulations.

3. Products and Product Information

Meroda Cosmetics sells cosmetic products and cosmetic tools intended for personal use.

We aim to ensure that all product descriptions, images, and information on the website are accurate. However, certain elements such as colour representation may vary depending on lighting conditions, device display settings, and individual skin tone.

The performance and appearance of cosmetic products may vary depending on factors such as skin type, application technique, and personal skincare routines.

Meroda Cosmetics cannot guarantee identical results for all users.

4. Personal Use Only

Products purchased from the website are intended for personal use only.

The resale, redistribution, or commercial use of Meroda Cosmetics products without written permission from Meroda Cosmetics B.V. is prohibited.

This restriction also applies to promotional products, free gifts, and items obtained through loyalty or promotional programmes.

5. Pricing

All prices displayed on the website include VAT unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change at any time without prior notice.

In the event of a pricing error or incorrect product listing, Meroda Cosmetics reserves the right to cancel or refuse the affected order. If payment has already been made, the customer will receive a full refund.

6. Order Acceptance

Orders placed through the website are subject to acceptance by Meroda Cosmetics.

An order is considered accepted once the customer receives an order confirmation email.

Meroda Cosmetics reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders in situations including but not limited to:

  • suspected fraudulent activity

  • payment verification issues

  • product availability errors

  • pricing errors

  • suspected resale activity.

If an order is cancelled after payment has been received, the payment will be refunded using the original payment method.

7. Cancellations and Order Changes Before Fulfilment

We process orders quickly. If you request cancellation or an address change before fulfilment, we will try to assist.

Once an order has been fulfilled, packed, or handed to the warehouse / carrier process, we may no longer be able to cancel or amend it.

This does not affect any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, return, or faulty-product rights that apply after delivery.

8. Delivery

Delivery times provided at checkout are estimates and may vary depending on destination and carrier conditions.

Meroda Cosmetics is not responsible for delivery delays caused by:

  • courier disruptions

  • customs procedures

  • weather conditions

  • incorrect delivery details provided by the customer. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their delivery address is correct.

For deliveries outside the EU, local import duties, taxes, customs fees, or handling charges may apply. These charges are set by local authorities or carriers and are the customer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise at checkout. Refusal to pay applicable charges may result in the parcel being returned, delayed, abandoned, or destroyed depending on the carrier and customs process.

If a shipment is returned to sender due to incorrect address information, failure to collect the parcel, or refusal to pay applicable import duties, reshipment may require payment of an additional shipping fee.

This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that apply where an order is faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described, or not delivered due to an issue for which Meroda Cosmetics is legally responsible.

9. Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify Meroda Cosmetics within the withdrawal period.

Returned products must be unused and returned in their original packaging, including any protective packaging, seals, labels, accessories, and free gifts included with the order, where applicable.

Certain cosmetic products and beauty tools are supplied with a hygiene or tamper-evident seal because they are personal-use products. Where local law allows, these products may not be eligible for statutory cancellation / withdrawal or voluntary change-of-mind return once the hygiene seal has been broken after delivery.

This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, or not as described.

10. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by the Meroda Cosmetics Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

In general:

Unopened products may be eligible for return within the legal withdrawal period.

Opened cosmetic products and beauty tools may not be eligible for return where hygiene restrictions apply.

Refunds or other legally required remedies may be provided for faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, misdescribed, or otherwise non-conforming products.

Nothing in the Returns & Refund Policy limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.

11. Product Satisfaction Guarantee

Meroda Cosmetics may offer a Product Satisfaction Guarantee on selected products.

This guarantee is a voluntary commercial policy intended to support customer confidence and does not replace statutory consumer rights.

Eligibility for the guarantee may be subject to conditions including:

proof of purchase

time limits

limitations on repeated claims

provision of supporting information.

Meroda Cosmetics reserves the right to refuse guarantee claims where misuse or abuse is suspected.

Nothing in the Product Satisfaction Guarantee limits your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, not as described, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal guarantees.

12. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products

If a product arrives faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, not as described, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal guarantees, the customer should notify Meroda Cosmetics within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.

Customers may be asked to provide:

  • photographs of the product

  • photographs of the packaging

  • the product batch number

  • any other information reasonably needed to assess the issue.

If a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect, not as described, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal guarantees, we will provide the remedy required under applicable law.

Depending on the issue, this may include refund, replacement, repair where relevant, price reduction, compensation, or another remedy required by law.

Store credit may be offered as an option, but will not replace a refund where the customer is legally entitled to one.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meroda Cosmetics shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages including loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or liability arising from defective products under applicable consumer protection law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

14. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the website and its content, including trademarks, logos, product images, text, and graphics, remain the property of Meroda Cosmetics or its licensors.

No content from the website may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Meroda Cosmetics.

15. Changes to These Terms

Meroda Cosmetics reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

If changes materially affect customer rights, customers will be informed through appropriate communication channels.

Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer residing in another country within the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may also apply.

If you have a complaint, please contact our Customer Support team first so we can try to resolve the issue directly. Where required by applicable law, you may also have access to local consumer dispute resolution bodies, consumer authorities or other complaint routes in your country of residence.
